I just got the okay to post Monk seal photos on my site, so I can promise that Monk seals will be getting a lot of love in the weeks and months to come. But for today I want to take it back to one of the most fascinating animals I have been able to work with, the Weddell seal. Here an adult is hauled out near a pressure ridge at Hutton Cliffs Antarctica.
You can get more interesting Weddell seal information from Weddell Seal Science.
Weddell seal images obtained under NMFS Permit No. 1032-1917
